PASS to Relaunch the Performer Subsidy Fund to Cover Testing Costs

LOS ANGELES - PASS is relaunching the Performer Subsidy Fund (PSF) which will now fully cover the cost of an industry-standard sexually transmitted infection (STI) test panel for up to ten people each month.

The PSF was first started in 2012 by adult film producers looking to subsidize the cost of STI testing for talent.

All adult content creators are eligible to request a free test from the PSF. Participants must meet the following requirements:

  • Be an active PASS member, which all adult industry members can join for free.

  • Indicate financial need

  • Test at a PASS Certified Testing Partner

  • Have not received a subsidized test within the past 6 months.

PASS members can login and submit a short form to request PSF support. Applicants will receive a response from a PASS staff member within one business day.

“The STI testing standards for our industry are critical to maintaining our health, but the expense can be prohibitively burdensome.” says PASS Executive Director, Ian O’Brien. “The ability to access preventative care is an essential part of a working health system. Our dream is to one day be able to fully subsidize the cost of testing for everyone who needs it.”

If you would like to contribute to the PSF, you may do so on the PASS website or by emailing ian@passcertified.org. One hundred percent of the funds contributed to the PSF will be used to cover the cost of testing.
